Cleveland

of Lebron and now Shaq.  I'm perfectly fine with that.  But just know that I've lived in Cleveland my whole life and I go back to watching the glory days of Mark Price and Larry Nanc

At the end of 3, Cleveland led 77-50, and the game wasn't even that close.

The Pistons were flat, slow, uninspired, and just plain not as good as the Cavaliers for the first seven quarters of this series. But during that 4th quarter, when the Pistons went on a 27-7 run and closed the gap to 84-77, they showed that they have a chance to win this series...right?

I would have loved to see Cleveland win and join an ultra-exclusive list of teams who have won 40 games at home. It's ultra-exclusive because, obviously, the 85-86 Celtics are the only team on that list. Furthermore, winning 67 games is another slim list which we could have been a part of if we'd won last night's contest vs. the 76ers.

er for Jones.

With the fourth pick, the Seattle Seahawks select OT Jason Smith.

And now it's up Cleveland.  If Denver didn't trade to four, I would love to see Cleveland make that same offer to Denver I mentioned above for Seattle.  With the loss of Cutler, Patrick Ramsey is listed as their current starter and he is listed as a free agent so I'm not even sure who their Quarterback is.  They really need help here and I could see them wanting Sanchez.  The Browns biggest need is players on defense and lots of them.  It doesn't matter between Quinn/Anderson if they are forced to have to score on every drive if the defense gives up points like they did last season.  So I'd love to see a trade down and then draft the best two players on defense that are available regardless of position.

We know all about lines like his, check it out.  Cleveland held the Knickerbockers to 37% shooting on the night, and that was the difference.

Couldn't shake a stick at LeBron down the stretch: he had a freakish and-1 in the fourth and continually found the open man, finishing with those 10 assists.

14 March 2009

It's no secret that LeBron is known as the King, and it's no secret that he is routinely found torching the Sacramento Kings. But Friday, the 13th of March, 2009, was something different.

You may have seen the boxscore (if not, click here), and it's a ho-hum 51 points, 9 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 3 blocked shots.

ason.

The Boston Celtics will probably have a harder time beating the following teams below:

1) Cleveland

Lebron James will probably come up with an MVP season this year and his newly acquired teammate Mo Williams will definitely add firepower for the Cavs. Last season was quite close but no cigar for Lebron as he was close to winning an MVP trophy and also close to beating the Celtics in just a single game. Lebron has an upgraded team backing him up and his then new teammates is more acquainted with him now, which means more chemistry than before and also means a harder time for opposing teams.

Knicks -- miraculously -- responded by dishing a supreme butt-kicking to the ailing near King-less Cleveland Cavaliers. In what was the most lopsided victory the Knicks have had probably in the Post-Patrick Ewing era, the Knicks trounced the Cavs 108 to 90! Damn near twenty points -- and what was really interesting mourning Stephon Marburry did NOT play (still battle back the tears from the loss of his father, Donald, again my condolences -- losing one's dad sucks!)

ou can't be THE marquee player and not get your team past the abyssmal New York Knicks! For the Cleveland Cavaliers to lose to a permanantly slumping squard like the Knicks, the whole game plan for the season is in doubt and must be reassessed.

18 December 2007

the sad thing is, whenever I see the Bucks play against the Cleveland Cavaliers I have a series of "what might have been" thoughts cascading into my head. Why? Because Michael Redd should be playing alongside LeBron. But for some reason, the Cavs couldn't make a competitive offer to the man two or three seasons ago when he was a free agent. Or maybe Redd, like so many other players, ain't tryin' to play roundball in the Mistake By The Lake! Imagine if LeBron was dishing off to Michael Redd in the corner instead of Larry Hughes? Imagine Redd leading the break off a defensive rebound outlet pass, he could dish to LeBron or take it to rack himself and bring the crowd at The Q to its feet? Those are just pipe dreams... sadly.
